So, I'll be announcing the final project for my classes soon. Once I figure out what the hell I want all of you to do...

You know what, screw it. The final project for my classes will be either a drawing, or painting of the students choice. Apply what you have learned this semester to your work. I'll have the due dates figured out by tomorrow.

Reminder to all of you who are going to be apart of the exhibition this Friday... I need your submissions by tomorrow night. If not, we likely won't have a place for it. So, if you want your stuff to be shown, give us the time we need.

Okay, first off, I'd like to thank the little spoiled shithead who has pretty much screwed me over.

With that said, I've got news... Thanks to some douche kid, who is hosting their fucking birthday party in the Ballroom of the Lux, the same weekend that I'd been hoping to have the art show, it's now been moved. This is going to put a cramp on time, but I was able to get the room for not this friday, not the following, but the one after that. Friday will be the show premier, and the art will be displayed during the entire weekend. That way buyers can place late bids, and pick up their purchases on Sunday. So, this means that I had to have everyone's entries by the Wednesday before the show. If it's not in, it's not going in the show, so get your asses into gear.

Don't even bother complaining about not having enough time either, I work two jobs, and am arranging this whole thing. If I can do all of that, you can get your work in on time. That is all.

A quick reminder to all students, not just my own. I mentioned at the start of the semester, that I would be hosting a Art Exhibition for student artist, close to the end of term. I've recently secured one of the dinning halls at the Lux Hotel for the event. It will be catered, and open to all to not only attend, but also participate. I've had several people sign up so far, but would love to have more people enter. As my students know, participation is an extra credit grade for them. All forms of art are welcomed.

I will once more be posting sign up sheets on the outside of my office, and classroom doors. Or if you like, come down to Gun Smoke Tattoo, talk to me, and I'll get your name down. Also, you'll have the option of selling your work in a silent auction. Though it's not required, we welcome those students selling art, to donate part of the price tag to charity.

It should be a swinging event, I hope all of the artist at Halcyon will participate, and that everyone will come down to enjoy the work, and support those creative minds among us.

There are not enough hours in the day, I've just decided. I don't have time to do everything that needs to be done. Which brings me to the reason for my post... I need someone to walk my dogs for me. Yes, I will pay this person. Also, it would need to be someone with a bit of muscle. I've got a French mastiff, strong fucking dog, and a grey hound, fast fucking dog. So, you've got to handle both. Any takers?

Okay, I'm curious to know which one of you assholes trashed the ceramics studio? Also, how about you not be a chickenshit, and just own up to it.

Okay, so I've had a few people contact with questions about the most recent project in painting. For them, and anyone else who cares to know, or who doesn't want to bother me endlessly with questions, because they didn't pay attention in class... this post is for you.

High Contrast painting, the subject is completely up to you. Yes, you can do nudes if you want, nothing will make me blush. Also, I won't accept digital art on this project, nor any in my class. If you wanted to paint digitally, you should have gone with the computer course. I actually expect you to get dirty. Now, this is a simple, yet complicated art form. Simple, in that the lines are clean, and blending isn't really required. Complicated, because it's very easy for the piece to go completely wrong, if the direction is not held.

Again, the project is due next Friday. There are examples behind the cut, if anyone needs more of a visual explanation.

So, yeah, I've returned. At the moment, I'm at the shop, going through the answering machine. Fair warning, if you called about a butterfly tattoo, a tribal arm band, or a tramp stamp, you're not being called back. This is where I will be, until classes start Monday, so if anyone needs me, you know what to do.

A final reminder to all of my students, your projects are due tomorrow, at the start of class. I'm honestly amazed that some of you are waiting till the last minute, but it's your grade on the line, not mine. Also remember to clean your stations, and remove all past projects, before leaving at the end of period. What is not removed, will likely be trashed, so be sure to grab what you want to keep.

To all students. for the up coming semester, I plan to host a student exhibit. It will showcase the talented, here within the walls of Halcyon. The exhibit will be open to not only my students, but anyone interested in displaying their art, for all to see. If you are interested in signing up for this exhibit, there will be a sign up sheet posted on my office door over break, and continuing into the next semester. Note to those in my class, the exhibit is NOT mandatory. But, I do encourage those who have taken my classes, to participate.

I completely fucked up, and... I don't know what to do, to fix this.

A reminder, to all of my students who have not yet turned in their semester projects, they are due, before the break, obviously. They will also count as your final grade, and I will not be accepting late work, I will not be here. But that's irrelevant, because even if I was sticking around, I don't take late work. Save the excuses for someone who will buy them, and don't expect any sympathy, because I really don't care. You've had the entire semester, that's plenty of time folks. So, have it in by the final day, or you're pretty much screwed.

For those of you, who might not be the yellow crayon of the box, this does indeed mean that the shop will be closed for those two weeks as well. If you wish to make an appointment for the week that follows break, call the number, leave a message. However, if you spam it, with idiotic phone calls, and/or request, not only will you be banned from the shop, but I will also hunt you done, and hurt you. Thank you, that is all.

So, to all of you who happened to make it down to the shop, thanks. It was a good opening week, and I have no complaints. I expect to see more of you next week though, there is a lot of skin, yet to be inked.

Um, so, I've been teaching a couple of classes here at Halcyon for a while, but I haven't really been around to introduce myself. My students in drawing, and painting know me, and some of the staff as well, that's likely all. I'm Wes, never Mr. Venizelos, Professor Venizelos, or Sir. I won't respond, if you address me as such. So, just Wes, all right? I'm a Satyr/Demon mix. Yes, I have a horse tail, no, you can not braid it. I'm also really old, got a problem with it, oh well. Before coming to the school, I was a tattoo artist, and the lead singer for the band Spooks Run Wild.
